10 must-watch dramas starring Son Ye Jin

Son Ye-jin is undoubtedly known for her role as the heiress Yoon Se-ri in the mega-hit Korean Drama Crash Landing On You, which jumpstarted the K-drama mania for many. But this South Korean beauty has been in the industry since 2001, nabbing lead roles in romance-themed dramas.

Crash Landing on You | Sarangui Boolshichak (tvN / 2019-2020) – Yoon Se-Ri

The Plot:  Yoon Se Ri, a successful and powerful businessman and estranged daughter of one of South Korea’s richest families, ends up in North Korean soil after a paragliding accident. She quite literally crash lands into the arms of North Korean soldier, Captain Ri Jeong Hyeok. Trouble unfolds as Captain Ri has to make the choice between keeping the South Korean woman alive and risk his own life or following the harsh laws of his land about foreigners. We swear, this is *worth* the watch!

Something in the Rain | Bab Jal Sajooneun Yebbeun Noona (JTBC / 2018) – Yoon Jin-A

The Plot: When Yoon Jin-ah (Son Ye Jin) reconnects with her best friend’s younger brother Seo Jun-hui, the attraction is mutual and palpable. What starts out as a harmless crush slowly develops into a full-blown romance the more the two spend time together. How long can it last if they continue to keep it a secret? And if they do come out as a couple, will their families approve of the relationship?

Of course he’s not, and in true K-drama fashion, the two end up falling in love.
